What is base?

base creates simple, unisex sweatshirts printed with the name of a place that matters — whether that’s where you’re from, where you’re based now, or somewhere you feel connected to. The focus is on place, identity, and quiet pride.

What products do you sell?

We currently offer unisex sweatshirts printed with place names, including cities, suburbs, and neighbourhoods. We’re starting with Liverpool and the Wirral.

Are your sweatshirts unisex?

Yes. All of our sweatshirts are unisex and designed for a relaxed, everyday fit.

What material are the sweatshirts made from?

Our sweatshirts are made using Gildan 18000, with a 50% cotton / 50% polyester blend and a soft fleece interior for comfort and warmth.

How does the fit run?

The fit is true to size.
If you prefer a looser or oversized fit, we recommend sizing up.

Where can I find the size chart?

You’ll find the size chart on each product page.
Please check it carefully before ordering, as all items are made to order.

Is shipping included in the price?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are paid by the customer.

Are items made to order?

Yes. All items are printed to order using direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. This helps reduce waste and ensures each piece is made specifically for you.

Can I order a place name that isn’t listed?

Yes. If the place you’re looking for isn’t currently available, you’re welcome to request a custom place name.

Will I receive a preview of my custom order?

Yes. For custom place name orders, we’re happy to provide a digital mockup preview before printing. Your order will only be produced once the preview is approved.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an item has gone into production, we may not be able to make changes.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Yes. We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of placing your order for non-personalised items.

To start a return or exchange, please contact us via the message form or email diana@baseclothing.co.uk. Return details will be provided once your request is approved.

How do exchanges work?

For exchanges:

1. Please contact us first

2. Return the original item to the address we provide

3. Place a new order for the replacement item

This helps keep processing quick and straightforward.

Are personalised items returnable?

Personalised items with custom place names are made specifically for you and cannot be returned or exchanged, unless they arrive damaged or defective.

What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?

If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us as soon as possible with photos and we’ll make it right.

Do colours look exactly the same in real life?

Colours may appear slightly different depending on screen settings and lighting.

Please note: White and Ash may look similar in product images. Ash is a light heather grey rather than pure white.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship within the UK only.

How long does delivery take?

All items are printed to order. Production usually takes a few working days, followed by UK delivery. Shipping details are provided at checkout.

How should I wash my sweatshirt?

We recommend washing inside out at a low temperature and avoiding tumble drying to help maintain print quality and fit.
